Afghanistan
Since the fall of Afghanistan in August 2021, The Nazarene Fund has directly evacuated over 10,000 people from Taliban-controlled territory. Additionally, TNF has collaborated with partner organizations to assist in the evacuation of another 5,000 individuals.
Over the years, TNF has worked diligently to help Afghan refugees find permanent homes where they can rebuild their lives. Through both direct efforts and partnerships, TNF has helped relocate over 23,000 Afghan refugees who were forced to flee due to being targeted by the Taliban—either for assisting the United States or for their Christian faith.
Although mass evacuations from Afghanistan have ceased, The Nazarene Fund continues to quietly evacuate individuals targeted by the Taliban. These individuals include Christians, women activists, women judges, and women prosecutors, who face significant threats to their safety.
In addition, TNF provides monthly support to hundreds of at-risk individuals in desperate need. This monthly sustainment includes food and life-sustaining supplies. Many recipients are widows with children and Christian families in hiding, struggling to survive under dire circumstances.

Armenia
Since September 23, 2023, over 100,000 refugees from the Nagorno-Karabakh region have sought safety in Armenia.
The Nazarene Fund is actively monitoring the situation on the ground, with a team ready to respond as needed. Preliminary estimates indicate that 300 to 400 Armenians remain unaccounted for. Some have chosen to remain in their home enclave, while others are feared injured, killed, or at risk from Azerbaijani forces.
TNF is currently working with 15 to 20 families whose loved ones—primarily men—are missing. In 2024, TNF rescued 10 Armenian Christians, providing them with safety and support. Also in a 2024 operation, the TNF team successfully located, recovered, and transported the remains of a father and son across the border, bringing a measure of comfort to their grieving family.

Egypt
Assisted 16 Coptic Christians in overcoming dangerous situations, providing them with critical support and safety.

Iraq/Syria
This is where TNF started almost 10 years ago. And TNF will continue working in this region to rescue targeted religious minorities, including Yazidi’s and Christians. Our successful work in the Levant in 2024 includes:
- Facilitating the relocation of Yazidis and Christians to Australia and Canada.
- Rescuing Yazidi women and men from Al-Hol Camp in Syria and reuniting them with their families in Iraq.
- Rescuing families fleeing religious persecution for being Christians in Syria.
- Providing safe houses for at-risk Yazidi women and their “children of war” (children fathered by ISIS fighters).
- Offering protection to former ISIS captives who are serving as witnesses in Crimes Against Humanity proceedings against ISIS.
The fall of Syria has left countless Christians facing persecution and violence, forcing many to flee their homes in search of safety. The Nazarene Fund is on the ground, providing urgent aid, safe passage, and shelter for these vulnerable families as they navigate unimaginable hardship. TNF is committed to providing these displaced souls with life-sustaining supplies needed to survive.

Israel
After the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7, 2024, The Nazarene Fund (TNF) responded swiftly to support our partners in Israel. TNF’s assistance included:
- Four ambulances provided to Israel to be used by United Hatzalah, a volunteer emergency medical services organization dedicated to delivering the fastest response to medical emergencies across Israel.
- Relocation support in partnership with Mercury One (M1) to fund the relocation of six Israeli families—survivors of the October 7 attacks—to the United States.

Lebanon
On October 1, 2024, Israel launched a ground invasion into southern Lebanon against the terrorist organization Hezbollah. The conflict has caused widespread displacement, with over 1.2 million people forced to flee their homes, and inflicted devastating damage on Lebanon’s infrastructure and economy.
The Nazarene Fund (TNF) responded immediately and remains steadfast in helping those caught in the crossfire. Our team worked tirelessly to provide hope, refuge, and life-sustaining supplies to displaced families, including those facing persecution and violence due to the escalating conflict. TNF also assisted Christians in remaining in their homes to avoid displacement while conducting emergency evacuations in active military zones.
Assistance to the Lebanese Christian communities includes:
- Medicines: Addressing urgent medical needs caused by shortages under militia control.
- Shelter: Providing families with safe accommodations, as many were left sleeping on the ground without adequate protection from the winter.
- Winter Protection: Delivering blankets, warm clothing, and temporary housing to combat exposure to harsh conditions.
- Hygiene Supplies: Reducing the risk of disease outbreaks in overcrowded camps by distributing essential hygiene kits.
TNF also extended its support to at-risk and displaced families, as well as firefighters, fishermen, grocers, farmers, and a meals-on-wheels program, ensuring aid was delivered sustainably and securely to Christians in Lebanon.

Nigeria
OPERATION LEGO (OP LEGO) launched in Nigeria on April 30, 2021, with the primary objective of protecting and blessing the lives of targeted Christians. These individuals face threats from the illicit trade of organ harvesting, human trafficking, child abduction and exploitation, baby factories, and ritual killings.

Operation LEGO continues its vital mission to protect vulnerable communities and combat exploitation with courage and determination.

Sierra Leone
OPERATION SILVER (OP Silver) launched in Sierra Leone on September 1, 2023, with the primary objective of protecting and blessing the lives of targeted Christians. These individuals face threats from the illicit trade of organ harvesting, human trafficking, child abduction and exploitation, and ritual killings.

Turkey
The Nazarene Fund is partnering with a Christian priest in Turkey who has identified 150 Christian families facing persecution and threats from extremists. TNF has launched operations to relocate these families to safe areas, providing them with the opportunity to rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.
